South Carolina will get its second Buc-ee's location in Hardeeville, Jasper County, as part of a major mixed-use development project. The store is planned for Exit 8 off Interstate 95 as part of the larger Hardee Station development.

Location Details

The Hardeeville Buc-ee's will be strategically located along the heavily-traveled I-95 corridor in the South Carolina Lowcountry. This positions it perfectly for travelers heading between Florida and points north, including Savannah, Georgia (just 20 miles away) and Charleston, South Carolina.

Store Features

Stan Beard, Buc-ee's director of Real Estate and Development, informed the Hardeeville city council that the store would be 74,000 square feet, stating "This location, by far, requires a 74,000-square-foot store."

Economic Impact

The Hardeeville Buc-ee's is expected to generate approximately 200 new jobs for the area, ranging from entry-level positions to managerial roles with competitive wages and benefits.

Timeline

The overall project is expected to take approximately three years, with Buc-ee's construction timed to align with the I-95 widening and Exit 8 redevelopment by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. The current expected opening is 2031, though Buc-ee's notes that opening dates can shift based on infrastructure completion.
