Buc-ee's Coming to Port Charlotte

Location Details

The new Buc-ee's will be located at 25999 Harborview Road, near the intersection of I-75 Exit 170 (Kings Highway). The site is part of the larger Harborview/West Village mixed-use development in Charlotte County.

  • Land Acquisition

Buc-ee's purchased the 38-acre property for $11.5 million. The Charlotte County zoning board approved the development plans on May 27, 2024, clearing the way for construction to proceed.

Economic Impact

Like other Buc-ee's locations, the Port Charlotte store is expected to bring:
200+ full-time positions
Competitive wages starting around $17-20 per hour
Significant sales tax revenue for Charlotte County

Strategic Location

The Port Charlotte location will serve travelers on I-75, one of Florida's busiest north-south corridors. It's positioned conveniently for visitors heading to or from the Fort Myers, Sarasota, and Tampa Bay areas, as well as tourists visiting the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches.

What This Means for Southwest Florida

This will be the first Buc-ee's in Southwest Florida, filling a gap between existing and planned locations in Central Florida. The Port Charlotte store will join Florida's growing network of Buc-ee's, which includes locations in Daytona Beach, St. Augustine, and upcoming stores in Fort Pierce, Ocala, and Tallahassee.
