Utah's First Buc-ee's Coming to Springville

The Beehive State is getting its first Buc-ee's! The Texas-based travel center chain has entered into a development agreement with Springville to build a location off Interstate 15, with an expected opening around 2028.

Location

The new Buc-ee's will be located at 1400 North and 2600 West in Springville, on undeveloped land west of Interstate 15 off exit 261. The site is in Utah County, about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City.

The Springville City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding and development agreement on September 2, 2025. The project timeline includes:
9 to 12 months of planning before construction begins
15 to 18 months of construction

Infrastructure Investment

The development agreement includes significant infrastructure improvements:
Springville will reimburse Buc-ee's $625,000 for a sewer lift station
City and company will split costs for new road construction on 1400 North and 1600 West
City will bore under I-15 for a water line
Increased water and sewer capacity
Future traffic signal installation

What This Means for Utah

This will be Utah's first Buc-ee's location, expanding the chain's western presence alongside the planned Arizona store in Goodyear. The Springville location will serve travelers on I-15, one of the major north-south corridors in the western United States.
