Map list view & Locations by State
Added a list-view alternative to the interactive map, plus a way to browse all locations grouped by state.
Refreshed branding
Updated the site's favicon set and social share images across Open Graph, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Highway exit numbers & 56 locations
Added highway exit number info shown as a map badge for each location, alongside a refreshed dataset covering all 56 current Buc-ee's locations.
Site disclaimer bar
Added a banner clarifying that Road Trip Beaver is an independent fan resource, not affiliated with Buc-ee's, shown at the top of every page.
Native apps prepped for app store submission
Finalized the iOS and Android apps for submission to the app stores.
Footer product carousel
Added a Texas Snax product carousel to the site footer, visible on every page.
Sponsored carousels expanded site-wide
Product showcase carousels were added to the road trip guide, state pages, locations pages, and the homepage FAQ.
Map Sky-train ad
Added a drifting animated product banner ("sky-train") that floats across the map page.
/shop page launched
Added a dedicated shop page featuring the full Texas Snax snack catalog with category browsing.
Arizona joins the map
Added Arizona's first Buc-ee's (Goodyear) along with a new Arizona state guide and locations page.
Texas Snax product showcase
Added shoppable Texas Snax product carousels to Buc-ee's location pages.
Partner advertising platform
Added a system for displaying sponsored banner and carousel ad placements from partners across the site.
Animated flyover banner on the map
Added a towed-banner-style animated ad that drifts across the map page.
Closing Locations page
Added a page tracking Buc-ee's locations that are closing, starting with Port Lavaca.
Buc-ee's News section
Added a news article section at /bucees-news covering Buc-ee's-related news and updates.
Ohio joins the map
Added Ohio's first Buc-ee's (Huber Heights) along with a new Ohio state guide.
Save prompt for unsaved trips
Users planning a trip without an account now get a prompt to save it after the route is optimized.
Sign in with Apple
Added Apple as a sign-in option alongside email and Google login.
Travel Passport
Added a Travel Passport feature to the dashboard, giving users a visual record of the Buc-ee's locations they've visited.
Android app support
Added full Android compatibility for the mobile app, including native Google Sign-In.
Native app tab bar & native Maps directions
The mobile apps got a native bottom tab bar, and route directions now open in the phone's built-in Maps app instead of a browser.
Interactive US map for browsing locations
Added a clickable US map with state silhouettes to the locations directory for browsing Buc-ee's by state.
Obsessed Mode: track every visit
New opt-in mode lets users log and track multiple visits to the same location over time, viewable in a calendar or list.
Giveaway page
Launched an interactive giveaway with entry tasks like sharing the site and following on social media.
EV charging station details
Added EV charger information at each location, including charger types and network-specific pricing links like Tesla's.
Custom map popup content
Location map popups can now include custom rich content such as extra photos or details, editable per location.
RSS feed for new locations
Added a configurable RSS feed of new and upcoming Buc-ee's locations at /rss.
Native mobile app foundation
Added the underlying framework to package Road Trip Beaver as native iOS and Android apps.
Homepage refresh with Coming Soon spotlight
The homepage now highlights Coming Soon locations and adds a View Map button to the hero section.
Upcoming locations integrated site-wide
Coming soon locations now appear in state pages, the locations directory, and the sitemap — even for states that don't have an open location yet.
Unified EV Charging filter
Combined the separate Tesla and Mercedes charger filters into one EV Charging filter on the map.

State guide pages gained FAQs, travel tips, and seasonal information for trip planning.
Anonymous trip sharing with expiring links
Added shareable trip links with a 72-hour expiration for trips planned without creating an account.

Users can now save a trip and share it via a link so others can view the planned route without logging in.
Travel Centers designation
The site now distinguishes large-format Travel Center Buc-ee's from smaller gas-only stations, with a matching map filter and icons.
Location tips & newsletter signup
Visitors can now submit tips about future Buc-ee's locations and subscribe to a site newsletter.
Penny Press Machines page
Added a directory of Buc-ee's locations that have souvenir penny press machines.
