The Natural State is getting its first Buc-ee's! Following a historic groundbreaking, construction is underway in Benton with a target opening of September 2026.
Record-Breaking Groundbreaking
Buc-ee's broke ground on April 16, 2025, in what the company called the biggest groundbreaking in its history - even bigger than any Texas location. The event attracted massive crowds and featured CEO Arch "Beaver" Aplin III along with Arkansas officials.
Location
The new store will be located off the Haskell exit of Interstate 30 on Arkansas 229 at the southern end, in Saline County. This puts it perfectly positioned for travelers between Little Rock and Hot Springs.
Store Specification
74,000 square feet of retail space
120 fueling positions
25 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations
250 jobs created
Projected Impact.
Buc-ee's estimates that 5 million people will visit this travel center annually once it opens. The company projects September 2026 as the completion date, though this hasn't been finalized.
Future Arkansas Expansion
A second Arkansas travel center is already planned for West Memphis, and CEO Aplin has indicated the company is actively looking for a third Natural State location.
What to Expect
Arkansas visitors will soon enjoy all the Buc-ee's classics: Texas-style barbeque, Beaver Nuggets, homemade fudge, jerky wall, and of course, the famously clean restrooms.
