The Legendary New Braunfels Buc-ee's

Grand Opening

At 11 a.m. sharp on opening day, workers pulled aside the driveway barricades and 100 or more waiting cars flooded into New Braunfels' new Buc-ee's. The $7.4 million travel center quickly became a must-stop destination on I-35.

Location

Located at I-35 and Farm-to-Market Road 306, the New Braunfels Buc-ee's sits perfectly between San Antonio and Austin, making it an ideal stop for travelers on one of Texas's busiest interstate corridors.

World Record History

The New Braunfels location held the title of world's largest convenience store from 2012 until June 2023, when the Sevierville, Tennessee, location (74,707 sq ft) took the crown. The title later returned to Texas with the Luling expansion in 2024.

  • 68,000 square feet of retail space
  • 120 fueling positions (60 gas pumps)
  • Full Texas BBQ kitchen
