Buc-ee's Ocala, Marion County, Florida (FL) - Coming 2028

A massive 74,000 square foot Buc-ee's is planned for Ocala off I-75, with a new interchange pushing the opening to 2028.

Buc-ee's Coming to Ocala in 2028

Marion County's long-awaited Buc-ee's is coming, but infrastructure requirements have pushed the opening to 2028.

Timeline Updates

The Ocala location was originally set to open in 2025 and was even planned to be the largest Buc-ee's ever built. However, Florida Department of Transportation requirements for a new interchange delayed the project significantly. Groundbreaking events for both the interchange and Buc-ee's are planned for late 2026, with completion in 2028.

Major Infrastructure Investment

The construction of a new diverging diamond interchange at the I-75 site will cost nearly $100 million, according to FDOT. Governor Ron DeSantis participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for the new interchange in February 2025.

Location

The Buc-ee's Ocala Travel Center will be situated on a 33-acre parcel located along NW 35th Street Road, about 1.75 miles south of W Highway 326, just east of Interstate 75.
