Virginia's First Buc-ee's is Now Open
After nearly two years of planning and construction, Buc-ee's opened its first Virginia location on June 30, 2025 in Rockingham County, just south of Harrisonburg along Interstate 81.
Location
The store is located at Exit 240 (Mount Crawford exit) along I-81, approximately 130 miles (about a 2 to 2.5-hour drive) west of Washington, D.C. and the Northern Virginia area. This makes it an ideal stop for travelers heading to or from the Shenandoah Valley.
Grand Opening Ceremony
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. featured notable attendees including:
